Kineticists Base Kiniesis

Rules Discussion

I was just wondering, how to handle the 'generate' part?

I know Pathfinder is not an economic simulation, but if I could generate copper or iron, which has a value, it breaks the narrative a bit if I never use it to generate value.

Here is my take, love to hear yours:

In short:
The material generated by the Kineticist is harder to process, and the wood withers away faster than normal wood due to a lack of vitality in the material plane. This limitation is put in place to prevent the economy from being disrupted and to maintain a sense of realism in the game world.

Long Version:
Stable economy for Metal Kineticists:

The metal created by the Metal Kineticists is a mixture of different metals and challenging to process.
The method to undersand the exact composition of each new metal nugget, known only to a few skilled craftsmen who possess the right techniques to effectively utilize it.
Processing the metal requires a significant amount of time and labor to ensure the best quality.

Stable economy for Wood Kineticists:

The wood created by the Wood Kineticists is alive, difficult to fell, and teeming with life.
Processing the wood requires specialized techniques known to only a few skilled craftsmen, allowing them to effectively use it.
The processing is time-consuming and labor-intensive to ensure the highest quality.
The wood may exhibit instability over time, making its usage challenging.
Secret techniques and limitations on processing could be implemented to prevent the wood from overtaking the regular timber industry.

By incorporating these characteristics, the created materials remain unique and valuable, while also posing challenges in their utilization, thus preserving the stability of the overall economy.
Simultaneously, they offer intriguing possibilities and narrative elements for players as they harness their powers.

And a tax on non-conventional materials to prevent dependence on a single individual and to maintain a stable economy, in the more lawful parts of Golarion.

I know this advise is frustrating but don't try to add realism or even verisimilitude to PF2 mechanics. They are made to be abstractions and to prevent exploits.

That said, Base Kinesis is in a similar situation to Prestidigitation. By default the rules are set that you cannot use it to sell or something useful but I allow a player with Prestidigitation and now with Base/Extended Kiniesis to use it to Earn Income using spellcasting checks (or Kineticist class DC checks for Base Kinesis) representing some work along the day to magically clean, purifying, create, reshape, repaint small things along the day using your magical abilities instead of a skill.

I do like the Idea of using class DC/spellchecks to generate income

Makes of course more Sense for some classes then others, but for kineticist and some casters like the Bard this this really nails it down
