Gunslinger goblin interaction.

Rules Discussion

I'm just hoping to get official clarification on if the "Burn it" goblin feat is intended to work with the gunslinger's "Alchemical shot" feat.

There's no clarification so it will depend from your GM interpretation.

IMO I would add even not having Alchemical trait in the feat. Because you are still using an alchemical items to load your weapon so I may consider it as part of the strike and isn't like this would break the game balance. Your attack won't be so much stronger due this. Also this meats very well the Burn It! Goblin fantasy.

I agree with your interpretation but I am trying to help the guys at Hero Lab with an official ruling so they can build it into the app. That and I pretty much only play society games and as such I can't really rely on GM approval as much.

3 people marked this as a favorite.

Then the app devs are the GM. They just need to make a ruling that makes sense and that everyone is happy with.

Personally I would allow it. The fire damage is there due to consuming an alchemical item. It may be a nonstandard usage of the item, but it is still using an alchemical item.
