Sentinel dedication and monk

Rules Discussion

Does the monk benefit from it?

I see it works on pathbuilder but I am not sure it's right.

I mean, hitting legendary while wearing an armor.

"If you are at least 13th level and you have a class feature that grants you expert proficiency in unarmored defense, you also become an expert in the armor types granted to you by this feat."

So a monk becomes "trained in light armor and medium armor" when you take the dedication and at 13th becomes expert.

You become trained in light and medium armor and expert at 13, that's all it ever does for a monk in terms of proficiencies
