Help with feats on Magus

Advice

So long story short, Playing a Tiefling Magus in Strength of Thousands. Want to go unarmed and I'm unsure on how best to go about it. I like the aesthetic that comes with using my ancestry feat on claws, especially in conjunction with spellstrike. But I think the class feat for Arcane Fist is probably better. Unfortunately going Arcane Fist means I wont have expansive spellstrike which seems rather important. I dont believe they stack in any way either, since I dont think natural weapons count as brawling?

On the Strength of Thousands unique side of things, as an arcane boy I'm gonna end up with a Druid dedication. But have no earthly idea what feats to take from it. I like wildshape, so probably that order, but since i cant use magus stuff while transformed it would be more for scouting.

any help or advice would be appreciated. I know the *vibe* of what I want, its just makin things work im struggling with.

would recommend foxfire or energy beam with starlit span

tiefling with tail feat can benefit a lot from the new tentacle potion

druid dedication can unlock the ability to use striker scroll with searing light of any level

which is very powerful

For the druid side: get lots of spells from it. You don't get super many spells from your magus side, but you can spellstrike with spells from any source.

My magus in Edgewatch is Starlit Span, but I took a monk dedication for Flurry of Blows and it makes for some nice switch-hitting options. For Starlit Span, Expansive Spellstrike is really amazing. Cones and lines become much more powerful when you can play with the origin point. It's so much easier to line enemies up when the line doesn't have to come from you.

Doesnt Starlit Span require a ranged weapon? I was just planning on rocking fists/claws

These Starlit Span recommendations are based in the high action cost of spellstrike and due the Attack of Opportunity (or any other manipulate/somatic triggered reactions in general) problem also allows a more flexible and secure usage of Expansive Spellstrike feat.

For unarmed Strike I recommend the Laughing Shadow + Elemental Wrath (need to be an Elf but you still can be a Tiefling Elf) to gives you a possibility to use spellstrikes that not trigger AoO like reactions when facing an opponent with such or similar reactions.

For class feats just take the base laughing shadow feat set (Distracting Spellstrike, Dimensional Disappearance). The rest is up to your taste but due the lack of good feats not linked to a hybrid study maybe is better to invest in you archetype feats instead.

Not precisely.

The other studies can only work with melee attacks, starlit also with ranged. But also still with melee. (The other studies have more melee tricks of course.)

But Starlit Span is unable to use the Shooting Star conflux spell with melee weapons so this can make you a bit more limited using your actions.

Your hybrid studies are projected to specific set of weapon options. So take care to not take the wrong study.
