If you are unconscious and at 0 Hit Points, but not dying, you naturally return to 1 Hit Point and awaken after sufficient time passes. The GM determines how long you remain unconscious, from a minimum of 10 minutes to several hours. If you receive healing during this time, you lose the unconscious condition and can act normally on your next turn.

Are nonlethal attacks an exception to the minimum amount of time a creature stays knocked out?

Yes.

Though as it mentions, both time frames are variable and up to the GM to decide the specifics of based on the needs of the plot. 1 minute or more can still be several hours.

Also, in both cases, the minimum time is more than sufficient for the end of the battle to happen even if it is the first creature of many that gets knocked out due to nonlethal damage.

Notice that 'you' refers to player characters and 'creatures' doesn't.

Player characters, their companions, and other significant characters and creatures don’t automatically die when they reach 0 Hit Points.

Instead, they are knocked out and are at risk of death. At the GM’s discretion, villains, powerful monsters, special NPCs, and enemies with special abilities that are likely to bring them back to the fight (like ferocity, regeneration, or healing magic) can use these rules as well.

As a player character, when you are reduced to 0 Hit Points, you’re knocked out with the following effects:

You immediately move your initiative position to directly before the turn in which you were reduced to 0 HP.

You gain the dying 1 condition. If the effect that knocked you out was a critical success from the attacker or the result of your critical failure, you gain the dying 2 condition instead.

If you have the wounded condition, increase your dying value by an amount equal to your wounded value.

If the damage was dealt by a nonlethal attack or nonlethal effect, you don’t gain the dying condition; you are instead unconscious with 0 Hit Points.

So I can't target myself or my allies with Discern Secrets? Seems a bit unplayable to me. I think it is better to consider player characters to also be creatures.

Since the specifics of the Player Character entry doesn't list a duration for being knocked out due to nonlethal damage, I would use the duration specified for creatures in general.

The term "creature" includes PCs.

Pathfinder 2e Glossary wrote:
creature An active participant in the story and world. This includes monsters and nonplayer characters (played by the Game Master) and player characters (played by the other players).
