Formulas and how to get them.

You can either buy them, or reverse engineer them from an existing item.

Buying them is better for common items. It is not very expensive and there is no skill check involved.

Reverse engineering from an item is mostly for Uncommon or Rare items. It requires a skill check and will destroy the original item. If you are successful, you could then rebuild the original item. If you are not successful, then you are completely out of luck. No formula and no item.
