Time for a super rookie question. This is my first 2e campaign. How do I calculate XP awards for combat?!??! Help an old timer out, ye lords of the boards!

Each combat/hazard encounter will normally have a header like "Moderate 6", this means its a Moderate encounter of a level 6 party.

Look up on the Encounter Budget table for the the amount of XP per character to awards. (Ie don't divide that number, give the full amount per player)

Thanks so much!

Sebastian plays PF2, the world is now a dangerous place, full of uncertainty and shadows. These are the end times.

The encounter budget tells you how difficult an encounter is based on the xp values of each monster, you award xp for each creature in the combat. So if a moderate encounter is worth 80xp, but the combat has 100xp worth of monsters, you give 100xp to each PC.
