Vehicles... and Large aliens?

Rules Questions

Was... it ever discussed how do Large aliens ride on terrestrial vehicles?

Does a vehicle need at least 4 "passenger seats" in order to accomodate a Large character? Are there modifications for a Large pilot?

I'm asking this, because right now, your tough Uplifted Bear cannot ride a performance cruiser, as it's too big ^^;

I might be missing a blurb in one of the vehicle chapters, but I'm pretty sure that crew are crew and passengers are passengers, regardless of size. Though they would probably have to squeeze and take those penalties while doing so.

Yes this leads to the DND 5e silliness of a centaur riding a horse.

And while I would allow an uplifted bear to ride an enercycle circus style, I get why other GMs might not.

Then again, for extra credits, that bear could purchase a custom larger enercycle.

I would personally say 2 rather then 4. When it comes to sizes, it tends to double the numbers, so 2 small count as a medium, 1 large is 2 medium.
Looked at a couple spells where the size of the creature matters, like Teleport. Nul Space chamber does the same math for small to medium

That would be logical... until I realise that a Medium creature takes a 5-foot square and a Large creature takes a 10-foot square (or 4 5-foot ones) ^^;

Yeah but a 3ft halfling takes up a 5 ft square, so does the 7ft Vesk then you have your 15 ft tall lanky Sarcecians who take a 10ft square
A car isn't 10 ft across, yet it fits 3 medium sized creatures in the back with a bit of a squeeze

Wouldn't it conflict with encounter rules and grids though? Maybe I'm reading in too much ^^;

I think it might be considered a small disadvantage, more targets for an AoE but I was thinking more on Travel.
During the chase rules, its an abstract area so it's fine there. There are abilities which allow Characters to share a space with someone else, my Halfling Mechanic does it.
Don't think it would break the game much unless the PCs are built to abuse it... though not sure exactly how and to be honest since it would be a house rule, GM call, it can be changed

Oh, sure, I don't think it would break the game either, but flavor-wise, it does beg the question :P

It's like how in Osmosis Jones, Drix has to stretch Ozzy's car to fit, and it's this close to teeter on his side XD

Large aliens are also aplenty, so that's why I'd like to know how to introduce a Rhyphoran NPC and his Dragonkin bonded partner using avehicle in a... less comecal fashion ;)
