What are some good spell combinations using the Psychic's astral tether feat?


Not sure it is the most powerful combination, but presenting this to verify what you are looking for.

Astral Tether on an ally that is in melee combat with an enemy, Telekinetic Projectile on that enemy and boost the ally with Inertial Barrier Amp.

In my opinion, the best combo is with Remove Presence. Remove Presence doesn't make your ally just hidden, it makes it undetected to all senses. So the enemy can't Grapple it anymore, triggers attacks of opportunity because it doesn't even realize they're there, and of course stop attacking them. It's really strong.


Yeah, remove presence is great on your party healer when you're up against a BBEG without minions (who wouldn't be subject to remove presence).

Sorry, guess I meant Amp combinations.

Didn't even occur to me to look at the feats and abilities that grant additional amps.

My understanding is that those extra feats are the only ones that Astral Tether works on. It doesn't work on the Amp effects of the standard cantrips.

So it's all far more limited than I surmised. Shame. Hopefully we will get some expanded options soon.
