So much AOE - And friendly fire

What if kineticists could literally use their con to have select targets not be effected by their AOE capabilities? There's a lot of situations in which I might hit my party members making AOE kinda useless if everyone is clumped together

Thoughts?

That could be a good effect for a low level feat (maybe level 4-8).

This is an incredibly strong ability if you think about it. I have a home brew relic power for a character in one of my campaigns to allow this. As a meta magic. 5 foot squares equal to their ability mod.

Only reason I made it for them is they pretty much only use spell slots for fireball

Cleric has it for Heal and Harm at level 6 (it uses a secondary stat instead of a primary stat, tho). That Kineticist feat would apply to more stuff than the Cleric feat, for sure, but in general martial character feats are miles stronger than caster feats.

Oh it's definitely a fun and thematic idea. I was just thinking earliest being level ten. Maybe 12 if overflow abilities get buffed you the level of focus spells somehow.
