Interest Check: Forgotten Realms 1e / w Rolemaster

Recruitment

Hmm. Okay, this may be my most important Interest Check yet. I wonder who would like to play Rolemaster? On roll20? Based in the Forgotten Realms?

Just seeing who would be interested in playing with the most realistic RPG ever, set in the Forgotten Realms? The game is as deadly or more as the Warhammer Fantasy RPG. I won't lie, the critical tables can be . . . realistic and gory.

But, if you want to play realistic characters in the Forgotten Realms. Where you have many skill choices to customize your character -- where your character will fit his background, then Rolemaster is for you. Because Rolemaster is a skill-based system.

You Will Need
1. A copy of the Forgotten Realms setting, specifically 1e.

2. A copy of Rolemaster Fantasy Roleplaying.

3. A copy of Character Law.

4. A copy of Spell Law, all three volumes. (costs only 30 dollars for all three).

Just wondering who will be interested.

‘Strike through brain makes life difficult for foe. You have a half round left to act. Add +20 to your next attack’

In other words, a BIG yes ;)

Interested, though I no longer have copies of any of the Rolemaster stuff...haven't since high school. BUT, I really loved the horrendously dangerous and wound-savaged campaign we played with Arms Law...

I might be interested. I love the aesthetic of the old remaster stuff - the art work and maps of the shadowworld supplements, and it's been a system I've been interested in learning.

I'm looking at the rules -- would be using Rolemaster Standard System (RMSS), or 2nd edition? I'm more interested in RMSS

RMSS/FRP.

Bump.

Dotting for interest. Played RM 1E (via MERP) and dabbled in 2E back in the day.

More familiar with the much maligned Space Master but this piqued my interest as this "RealmsMaster" sounds a great concept.

Not sure what the RMSS differences are from the old school Eds but I'll do some research.

I've read a bit about this -- I think that they increased the size of the skill lists is one of the major differences. I don't think 2e and the edition that's being discussed here are interchangable/backwards compatible.

Pathfinder Lost Omens Subscriber

Interested if we get a group together I’ll investigate more.

Well, I'm certainly surprised, that's for sure.

RMSS/RMFRP is definitely a good system.

I wouldn't be adverse to digging out the dusty tomes from my shelf! Have a huge amount of material for the system.
