The downloads page is abysmal, and has been like that for years without update. It is WAY overdue for a serious overhaul to not only make it look cleaner, but to make it actually work as intended not a broken hot mess.

The categories are all messed up, with there being three different "Paizo Inc.: Campaign Setting" categories and 3 different "Paizo Inc.: Player Companion" categories all with PFRPG books. It's the same line of books for the same system, yet they have 3 completely arbitrary categories. The only plausible reason I can think of for it to be done this way is to ensure your customers are confused and frustrated.

The filtering done through the side is just straight up broken. For example clicking on any of the First Edition AP categories will only bring up one item, and it seems to be randomized (sometimes it's Tome of Horros 4, sometimes it's the Players guide for a completely different adventure, etc. But it's never the actual books i wanted. Even the top categories like "Starfinder Roleplaying Game" will bring up the Starfinder Core Rulebook, along with the "Shattered Star Player's Guide" (which is pathfinder), and doesn't bring up the "Into the Unknown" adventure. This makes it so the only way to actually search for the item i'm looking for is slowly scrolling through the horribly-organized list of the hundreds of PDFs I own (see paragraph above).

Finally, aesthetically, it just looks very unappealing and outdated. This is the least of my complaints, but might as well actually make it look pretty if you decide to actually update it and fix the blaring issues.

Once you've purchased 5 years worth of content, it does get vexingly large.

A "download all in this section" button would not be a bad idea -- something that zips together a 2gb sized package or something similar. At this point I have so many flipmats and AP's that I have to just schedule a few hours to catalog and index every year and see if I'm missing anything.

The ability to search for a specific item in your downloads would be appreciated too. I currently short-cut by going to the product page, and using the download button there, but it is often broken, and I go into a loop of signing in, selecting the button, and signing in.

But yes, making sure all the categories align, and the index on the side actually picks up the correct products would be a great start

It's an absolute mess. I organize by last downloaded and use the browser text search if I need something specific.

That's what I do too. Better organization would be much appreciated.

I download all files as soon as they're available to me, putting them on a cloud storage service (with multiple terabytes of storage available) so I don't need to worry about local storage and can access them from any device I have. Sorting the list by Date Added to Downloads gets me everything I need right at the top of the list. I do this once a month and can ignore the downloads page otherwise.

Since I own physical products as well I'm more lethargic about downloading things unless I have an immediate interest or intentions to play in the next six months. Especially when Starfinder APs can be 150 megabytes in size.

Like the utter failure that is the completely wrong results from using the filter system on the downloads page, the incredibly oversized Starfinder file sizes are an issue that Paizo needs to look into badly, but neither problem seems to even be on their radar, let alone the priority issues list.
