Champion summoners get along best with divine eidolons matching the alignment associated with their cause—angel eidolons for the tenets of good, devil eidolons for a tyrant, and so on.
I'm guessing this is in error, with the devil eidolon presumably getting dropped by publication time. Might we see devil eidolons in a future book?

I think it’s a matter of when, not if - alongside Aberration, Djinn, Elemental, and Ooze someday.
I'm guessing Devil just got dropped from SoM to save space and is most likely on standby for another book to come up it'll fit in, yeah.
Honestly I'm surprised Elemental wasn't there as one of the quintessential Eidolon types, but hopefully that's also not far off.
In the PaizoCon discord this was actually asked:
“Devil eidolon some day? Whole book of devilry some day?”

Possibly. Daemons/Demons/Devils try to run in packs, which makes it tough to do a book on any one set of them. They could each carry a book, but then that means making three books (making it hard to fit them in the schedule or sell enough copies) OR cramming them all into one (making it hard to be comprehensive).
