Could somebody confirm that this rule is allowed for play please? I'm being given conflicting information. Ta.

You're in luck! Per the Allowed Resources page, it's Society legal. They added this clarification, though:
"The Mutual Destruction Alternate Class Feature for Vanguards replaces Invulnerability, and alters Entropic Pool and Mitigate."

Conflicting information is probably because an earlier version of the AR said that Mutual Destruction was not available, before it was replaced with the current version that adds those notes. Someone that you talked to was likely out of date, but checking the AR page is always the right first step in addressing that kind of confusion, and letting the person who told you Mutual Destruction was unavailable know about the current rule might be helpful to them, as well.

Thank you both. Yeah, I was aware that Allowed Resources was saying yes, but I had others telling be that it said the opposite. Don't think that they/I knew that there had been a change, which explains everything. :)
