Hi all,
I'm a forever GM who's been playing their first PF2 campaign (as a player... I've GM'ed a homebrew 1-20 PF2 campaign right before this one). I have a greataxe wielding Inexorable Iron Magus and we're very close to reaching the 6th level.
Turns out that, although I've been enjoying my time going nova and dealing tons of damage, I'm finding myself thinking about giving my Magus some time off and bringing in a new character. The group's Bastion just changed characters to become an Animal Instinct Barbarian, so I'm looking towards other concepts.
However, there are just so many options. I was wondering if I could get your opinions on what could fit with my party. We're six players. Myself, a Warpriest of Chaldira, a Forensic Investigator, a Tyrant Marshall of Asmodeus, the Animal Barbarian and a Stars Oracle.
Any cool concepts or build/archetype ideas that could maybe fill a niche in my group?

Kinda unlucky you won't be able to play a champion of good. It would have been the barbarian's best friend!
What about a winter witch?
Primal tradition.
Life boost to sustain your melee friends if you don't want to expend heals.
By lvl 10 ( if the DM allows it) you'd be able to get frozen heart, which is a really good focus spell.
In addition, you'll be able to get a cool familiar ( getting the familiar master to make it the group mascot would be definitely fun).
Just one among xxxx possibilities.

Hmm... Two Divine spellcasters - at least one of which has some martial tendencies. Evil Champion. Barbarian for dealing damage. Investigator for skills. It looks like you have most everything necessary covered with just that. So you could be literally anything you wanted.
Maybe something to cover a different tradition of magic. Or perhaps a damage dealer (spellcaster or martial) so that your Magus departure doesn't lower your party's damage output as much.

I second the notion that your group could greatly benefit from a Primal spellcaster... and honestly, since you're already comfortable with the wave casting functions maybe a Beast, Fey, or Plant Eidolon Summoner could do some good work for you by adding another flanking partner as well as giving you a solid selection of spells.
The Plant Eidolon in particular can do some really great work after level 7 as it will have an increased Reach as a baseline and the ability to extend that out another 5 feet with the Tendril Strike and it couples VERY neatly with the Eidolon's Opportunity Class Feat as it is extremely beneficial to get another AoO on the board to hinder or punish enemy movements without actually needing to always be directly in harms way. This would offer you personal ranged functionality with your own weapons and also simulated range damage + reaction benefits to compliment the rest of the party comp.
