vault keeper confusion

ok so we are a party fighting against a vault keeper and its crystal burst ability is a bit unclear all it says is it does 12d6 points of dmg but doesn't say anything about the range or how many times it can use it???

That's because it was a 2 part monster entry with the mythic Xiomorn vault builder as the primary entry. The Vault builder entry says

"Crystal Burst (Su) As a standard action once every 1d4 rounds, a Vault Builder can create an explosion of razor-sharp crystals at a range of up to 120 feet. These crystals fill a 30-foot-radius burst and deal 20d6 points of piercing and slashing damage (Reflex DC 26 half). The save DC is Constitution-based."

So the vault Keeper inherits all of that text with a 12d6 dmg rather than 20d6.

Edit: Note that the reflex save will be reduced from lower HD and a lower CON mod.
