Is there a good reason elixirs aren't mentioned in the Seasoned feat, or is this a case of the author forgetting there are two types of imbibed liquid consumables?
It's not out of character for my halfling to take Seasoned in addition to Specialty Crafting: Alchemy but it is frustrating to need what is essentially a redundant feat. I know Specialty Crafting: Alchemy covers more than just elixirs, but he's not in it so much for the bombs, poisons, and etc.
Sorry if this is already answered. I tried searching and got 25 results, most of which were stubbornly for the word "season" no matter how I tried to filter it >_<

I think it's just an example.
It could have been:
A) You gain a +1 circumstance bonus to checks to Craft food and drink, including potions.
B) You gain a +1 circumstance bonus to checks to Craft food and drink, including elixirs.
C) You gain a +1 circumstance bonus to checks to Craft food and drink, including elixirs and potions.
D) You gain a +1 circumstance bonus to checks to Craft food and drink.
With D there would have been speculations whether it would have applied or on on potions/elixirs, but I agree they could have solved it by using the C one.
Also, we have to keep in mind that magic potions require magical crafting, while elixirs are just non magical stuff.

Yeah, I wish they'd gone with C as well. Hopefully no GMs I play with get hung up on the lack of the word like I have

true, but not unlike potions require Magical Crafting, elixirs can't be crafted w/o Alchemical Crafting

Putting it another way, alcohol has the alchemical and poison traits and i am pretty sure it comes under drink.
I don't think this is intended RAW though, the writer probably just had a slip of the mind and forgot to mention elixirs.

By 'this' you are meaning the RAW interpretation that the bonus only applies to potions and mundane food, yes? (It is a bit confusing since 'this' could refer either to the second half of the sentence, or to the previous sentence.)
Because so far this thread is turning into another of the ultra-rare threads where consensus among the group is that RAW is dumb and should be ignored. Which is always amusing.

RAW isn't dumb. RAW can't take everything into account, both because the writers are humans and also because getting into all the potential nitpicking would result in an extremely big book.
In that case, I don't see why Elixir should be excluded, it's both RAW (these are drinks) and I think RAI (as I don't see a real difference between potions and Elixirs).

Sorry, not meaning to be insulting to the rules or the devs that create them. But there have been a couple rare times where we have all looked at the rules as they actually are and said, 'Umm... No.' Such as the thread I linked to about using a Battle Form and then suddenly not being able to escape a grapple.

I mean by alcohol is certainly considered to be a drink, setting a precedent for elxirs being impacted under RAW.
RAI I believe it is intended, but I don't believe the feat was written thinking "drinks will imply elixirs are AoK", even though the above suggests they are RAW.
