Heyo
So as far as I can tell, these two features do not interact right? Fling Magic via the wand implement is not a weapon, nor an unarmed strike.
Find Flaws works; as you can at least know if one of your 3 elements does work. But Eso Anti doesn't work at all with it. correct?
So, is the wand intended as a supplementary long ranged attack for melee specific Thaumuterge?
Or do we think that it was intended to work and was a missed detail?
It stands out to me simply because its the only gained offensive item I see they get, that actively doesn't work with class abilities

It's scaling is closer to a cantrip, it is DC based not attack based so it cant be improved by weapons runes, and it takes two actions.
It functions more like a cantrip overall, even if it's intended goal is to provide a ranged option for Thaums it does so by mimicking cantrips and not given them a unique weapon attack.
I wouldn't be opposed to it benefiting from E.A but given everything I know about thr ability and comparing it to what already exists I don't think its current inception is intended to work with E.A.

No currently I assume its not intended to.but ultimately I think it should in some form of fashion.
Simply because it stands out in a very weird way as it interacts with 0 features that I can think of off hand.
Yet its a base implement choice. If you chose it at level 1, you basically have no functional reason to use Find Flaws (except to tell allies) nor antithesis.
Your wand damage type is set already so you'll either hit res/weak or you won't.
If you want to be wand guy, you don't have a reason for you yourself to use your main class feature until level 7 when you get two elements as an option. With exception to telling allies the weaknesses of course, if you have a caster/alchemist who has access to a variety of things.
Their other ranged options are bow/xbow while ignoring the damage boost from the wand glyph. Or a one handed ranged weapon (so thrown, or a auto xbow hand-if they get access) if they want to benefit from the wand glyph.
So I feel like the wand is intended to be a ranged option, but maybe they intend tit to be a switch hitter option? if so, maybe the thamaturge just isn't intended to be a ranged?
Just the way its presented as a base level option and the class being a martial style one. It feels like its presented as "the ranged option" for the class. As they have a Weapon specific implement already. So it feels as if they have "healer" with the goblet "support" with the lantern, then have two flavors if combat, a weapon-which is most likely closer ranged given its abilities, or the wand-which is inherently long range and gets longer/wider.
