Okay so in the new mwangi expanse book, the new wyrmblessed bloodline for sorcerer's includes primal dragons as dragon types. Since it has the same focus spells which include the new dragon type options, could primal dragon bloodline be available to regular draconic sorcerers? It seems like a given because of the mechanics and how wyrmblessed is phrased but clearly it is not given.

No, the only two traditions are Arcane and Divine. Yes there are "primal" dragons but you still have to "worship" them to make that choice. The Draconic bloodline (Arcane) still only allows the choice of Metalic and Chromatic dragons.
Maybe there will be a Primal dragon bloodline in the future, but if you want to do it now you would have to homebrew it.

Yeah sorry for not being clearer. I meant the primal dragons (crystal, forest, cloud) as opposed to the chromatic or metallic

Imagine any character with Crystal Dragon "Dragon Claw" focus spell ( 2 class feats required )
1-8: DR 5/- piercing damage
9-16: DR 10/- piercing damage
17-20: DR 15/- piercing damage
note that piercing damage is the major physical dmg you'll be finding in the whole bestiary, since the majority of monsters has claws and jaws.

Yes, this is allowed by the unmistakable text of dragon claws. And would stack with dragon disciple... I suspect this was unintended though, someone probably forgot you get resists in the same type of damage your dragon does through the claws.
It is really really powerful.

You should be able to, the text of the two ancestries is the same just with more dragon types for wyrmblessed. I asked for clarification in the Lost Omens errata thread.

It would be something clearly not intended to work with physical damage. ( probably 2/- DR per tier, capp 6/- from lvl 17 on, might be reasonable, somehow ).

I don't know what was intended, but I'd like to point out that the wording in the draconic bloodline doesn't actually limit you to metallic or chromatic dragons. The exact wording is:
At 1st level, choose the type of dragon that influenced your bloodline. You can't change your dragon type later. This choice affects how some of your bloodline spells function.
Followed immediately by a list of dragons. Nowhere does it say this is a complete list, nor does it limit the type of dragon anywhere else within the bloodline. Feel free to check the bloodline for yourself.
Even the flavor text at the top simply states "The blood of dragons flows through your veins. These beasts are both fearsome in combat and skilled at magic."
Again, no mention of the type of dragon.
All that being said, I'd probably limit it in my games primarily for flavor reasons in that I don't know how you have blood from a planar being running through your veins. But, then again, who knows: maybe one of my players can convince me that that would be a cool background, and perhaps it'll even come up later in the campaign. Could be fun~

It's all writtend on nethys.
I see no need to interpretate it, and I don't know what you checked.
Dragon Claws
Vicious claws grow from your fingers. They are finesse unarmed attacks that deal 1d4 slashing damage and 1d6 extra damage of a type determined by the dragon in your bloodline.
Dragon Type Damage Type
Black, brine*, or copper Acid
Blue, bronze, cloud*, or sky* Electricity
Brass, gold, magma*, red, or underworld* Fire
Crystal* or forest* Piercing
Green Poison
Sea* Bludgeoning
Silver or white Cold
Sovereign* Mental
Umbral* Negative
Dragon Breath
You spew energy from your mouth, dealing 5d6 damage. The area, damage type, and save depend on the dragon type in your bloodline.Dragon Type Area and Damage Type Saving Throw
Black, brine*, and copper 60-foot line of acid Reflex
Blue and bronze 60-foot line of electricity Reflex
Brass 60-foot line of fire Reflex
Cloud* 30-foot cone of electricity Reflex
Crystal* and forest* 30-foot cone of piercing Reflex
Green 30-foot cone of poison Fortitude
Gold, magma*, or red 30-foot cone of fire Reflex
Sea* 10-foot burst within 30 feet of bludgeoning Reflex
Silver or white 30-foot cone of cold Reflex
Sky* 10-foot burst within 30 feet of electricity Reflex
Sovereign* 30-foot cone of mental Will
Umbral* 30-foot cone of negative Reflex
Underworld* 10-foot burst within 30 feet of fire Reflex
It's just mechanically off to give a physical DR which might reduce to zero the enemy damage, and it's going to be fixed in a future errata ( same goes for the sea dragon which gives bludgeoning DR, though the creatues which deal bludgeoning damage are probabli 1/10 compared to those who deal piercing, or even less than it ).

I'm confused how this turned into a question about damage resistance looking at the initial question.
Either way the spell gives those resistances to the wrymblessed version. It's very explicitly there in the focus spell on AoN. If you want to assume it's an oversight, go ahead, but is this really the place to be having that discussion when the og poster was asking a legitimate and completely unrelated rules question?

Correct. Desipte that the other types of dragons exist in other places n the rules, we only have blodline rules for arcane and divine dragons. Both types count for access to Dragon Disciple.
Maybe one day there will be other dragon types.

Reading more of their posts, I think they meant to ask if they could take Primal Dragons, brine (acid), cloud (electricity), crystal (piercing), magma (fire), and umbral (negative), with the Draconic Bloodline, which is Arcane. To that, I'm not sure. I would have to read the specifics in the book when I get home, but I do not believe so, since their blood would provide Primal Magic not Arcane. While Draconic and Wyrmblessed do provide the same focus spells, they have different skills, spells known, and blood magic. It makes sense that worshiping any dragon would provide Divine magic (since Divine is basically just the power of believing in a thing), meanwhile it wouldn't make sense that a descendant of a Brine dragon would have Arcane magic instead of Primal.

I dont see why from what is written on AoN non metallic/chromatic dragons should not apply to arcane bloodline, as it is a matter regarding the focus spell it self, that is available fot both wyrmblessed and draconic
Also with the fact that imperiale dragons all have different traditions leds me to believe there is no an exact relation betwen the bloodline tradition and the original dragon's spellcasting. And even if there was, why am i allowed to be an arcane gold/silver bloodline sorcerer while gold/silver dragons are actually divene casters?
I ultimately think allowing non metallic/chromatic dragon bloodline to draconic sorc IS DM fiat, but more for the fact that allowing the use of non-core books like mwangi IS DM fiat (and in that case, why the killjoy?!)
Tell me if i said something incorrect or not precise, as i dont own the actual book
