Packmaster Utility Companions

Advice

I have been reading up on multiple animal companions and hunters for a bit of light reading

In Rylar's guide to the Hunter

They said something interesting that caught my eye, and I want to learn more

One is to have 1 Animal Companion with boon companion applied to it and have 1-3 utility companions

My question for discussion is this:

What do you think should make up those utility companions?

Scouts for different environments perhaps; a giant mole (burrow, tremorsense) or a dire bat (flight, blindsense) or a falcon (fast flight) or something amphibious. Maybe an ape (/chimpanzee/baboon) for using something that requires opposable thumbs.

That said, unless you have a GM who's willing to allow a lot where it comes to Int 2 animals, I don't think this is the best idea.
