3+Charisma; what if negative charisma?

Rules Questions

Howdy

I'm curious. For Sorcerer's(and really any similar clas ability). If you have a negative on that stat. Does that mean its 3+ -# for less than 3 total that day uses?
or does it have a minimum ?

It does not have any listings for minimum. .but I thought somewhere I remember a line in the rules stating that clas abilities always have the minimum 1 when adding to class abilities? but that could be another system.

Basically I'm considering varient multiclass choice,

6es you can have negative numbers.

There are some abilities that will say "... minimum 1" like a Swashbuckler's Panache ...

Panache (Ex): More than just a lightly armored warrior, a swashbuckler is a daring combatant. She fights with panache: a fluctuating measure of a swashbuckler’s ability to perform amazing actions in combat. At the start of each day, a swashbuckler gains a number of panache points equal to her Charisma modifier (minimum 1). Her panache goes up or down throughout the day, but usually cannot go higher than her Charisma modifier (minimum 1), though feats and magic items can affect this maximum. A swashbuckler spends panache to accomplish deeds (see below), and regains panache in the following ways.

But if they don't say it then you can have zero in that ability.

A good example is a Dwarf Cleric who starts with 5 Charisma, who would have "3+(-3)" uses of Channel Energy per day.

Liberty's Edge

If your casting stat has a negative value you can't cast spells, so it is highly improbable for this situation to happen.
Unless an ability says that it has a minimum value, it has no minimum value.

cool beans. I must be thinking of a different system for that rule.

There is no generic rule of minimum 1, though many abilities do state that within their text to make them usable even by someone with poor ability scores.
