Curaigh wrote:You will be good to go Curaigh, you just missed scenario support is all but not a big deal as you own the scenario already.I missed GM recruitment (running too many PaizoCon tables :)
It has been my tradition to run a 'Wizards Wanted' scenario for GameDay.I just filled out the forms for that and another table, but I understand if it is too late (I have the scenarios already).
Do I add them to the sign up sheet myself?

I'm currently signed up to run 4 games for Gameday X. Currently it looks like only 1 of those tables will be firing. I've advertised the other games but the interest just doesn't seem to bet there for the other three games.
That being said, what is the proper way of signing up to run for other (hopefully more popular) games? I know it's too late for scenario support, but the one game I needed support for, I have it.

I just realized, if we are running both parts of the beginner box, do we have to submit that to Paizo that we are so they can keep track of how many games are going to be run for gameday, or is that assumed to be the case.
@Doublegold- We have you choose which part you plan on running. Either upper or lower portion.

If a table is not going to fire because there is a lack of interest or if the GM can no longer commit to running it, please DO NOT delete the table from the sign up sheet yourself. Contact one of the VOs to let them know the situation.
We have a separate sheet that compares the number of tables on the signup sheet to the number expected from the GM form so that if they don't match it alerts us that there may be a new table to add. Deleting the table on the player signup sheet without also deleting it from the GM response sheet causes a false alarm.

Preface: I love Cayden's Keg and hope to see it succeed, so try to understand the context of this next sentence.
Purely numberwise, right now, 60% of the games offered on CK have 0-1 signups.
It doesn't mean that there's something wrong with CK - or Discord in general (overall, 23% of Discord games aren't firing, compared to 6% of Paizo games). But I think there's a mismatch between where GMs want to run games and where players want to play games.
I posted the numbers either last year or earlier this year for other online conventions (showing even bigger gaps between Paizo and Discord) - this convention, Discord games are filling faster and fuller than they have in the past. So, that's good for PbD GMs, especially on the Find the Path server, whose numbers are very comparable to Paizo's (FtP: 30 tables, 10% @ 0-1, 6% @ 2-3, 83% @ 4-6; Paizo: 32 tables, 6% 0-1, 12% @ 2-3, 81% @ 4-6). Also, although I didn't save the data, I took a snapshot at 24h after general signups (to see which games filled the fastest vs fullest), and the trend was similar: Paizo ~ FtP >> RfC > CK.
So, all that was kind of a long-winded way of asking if you've considered offering the same games somewhere else?
---
(Full disclosure: I personally prefer to play on Paizo. I personally don't mind, and actually appreciate, the late 90s feel of the website. I have already been mocked on Discord, quite possibly Cayden's Keg general chat, so I'm fully aware it's a really funny opinion to have, and will link Ke$ha's "Dinosaur" because I'll confess I deserve it.)

DoubleGold#8116 Hey, thank you very much for you interest in my dinner at Lions Lodge game. I rolled the dice and sadly there were not enough seats at the table and your number did not come up. - I hope we get another chance to play together in the future - have a great time at Gameday X (sorry to use thhis channel - I did not find you in Discord)

Keep in mind that Cayden's Keg is mainly VTT with a smaller side of PbD.

Maybe it's just that people aren't used to playing PbD there.
There may also be unresolved barriers to people playing PbD. For me, the recent (or at least recent to me) introduction of tupperbot was a pretty big thing.
Whatever it is, I think there's still a mismatch. It seems like there are Discord GMs who will end up not running games they want to run and Paizo PFS1 standard and Paizo PFS2 Level 1-4 players who will not play games they want to play.
It's a much smaller market inefficiency than in the past but it's definitely there.

Announcement
I have been working with some of the other VO's and we are going to try a new reporting tool this year. I know, I know but you linked the old reporting tool in the Announcement for PbP Gameday X! Please ignore that one and report to one of these links below. The tool was not ready for us yet but it is now. This is the same tool used during PaizoCon reporting so it has been put through the paces.
Here are the reporting links for each system below:
Chronicle Information
Event Name: PbP Gameday X
Event Code: 2705272
Reporting Links
Pathfinder Society -- Core (first edition) Reporting Link
Pathfinder Society (second edition) Reporting Link

At this time we will lift the limitations for the Specials to help fill the remaining tables. We likely will not have the backup GM's nor the opportunity to get more scenario support to add in more overflow GM's.
If you can handle the bandwidth to play at another high paced special then go ahead and sign up.

I've still got two open slots for the PF1 special over on MythWeavers (non-core, subtier 3-4.) If anyone's willing to try that instead of one of the other boards, come on over!

Do we have the typical boon rolls when reporting? Didn't see it mentioned anywhere.
Hey! Apologies for such a late reply!
From the email for Gameday GMs:
HOW DO I TELL WHAT PLAYER BOONS WE GET?
(PFS1E Only) Have your players roll a D20, if a player is unavailable you may roll for them. Remember to roll for yourself at the same time. A 19 or 20 wins a boon. If you or a player win, do another roll for each winner.
For PFS 1E: Roll a d3 to determine which one you get.
There should be a drop-down the reporting form where you can mark who won what boons.
______________
Note that the above applies to PF1E games only. SFS and PF2E games will earn AcP for both players and GMs.
