Sorry I took so long. Hotel was a whirlwind this week and my best IRL friends are going through an unexpected hard time.

Hello everyone! I'm leaving on December 29th and will be completely out of touch for two weeks, until January 14th (no internet at all). I would really like to either finish the scenario before I leave, or take a break - it's a shame to play this for so long, and then skip the whole climax and denouement of the plot .))

![]() |

No worries. Sorry to hear about your friends. I hope their troubles pass soon.
I'm afraid "pass" is the right word: their little sister passed away last week. :(

APZ, sorry to hear about your friend's sister.
Everyone, addressing Kuozars post. Work and holiday home life are keeping me quite busy. My plan is to finish this fight, then take a break. I think I'll be able to post Sun, Mon, Tues and Wednesday this week. After that my posting window will close. We're hosting family for a few days around Christmas and ma wife and I will take some together time after that.
How would you feel about finishing this fight then taking a long break?

I am going to visit family for Kaledas (Christmas), but I can post anyway.
I recently lost grandma due to cancer there and thats a strong reason to spend time with those who in grief or need support.
I am glad having RPGs to retreat from reality. Helps to stay strong mentally somehow.
As we are not fast in general - break feels okay!

Breaks are sometimes necessary in PBP. I'm going to be traveling the last week of December (26-29). Should be able to post before and after.
Hope people enjoy whatever holidays you choose to celebrate.

Merry Crystalhue, everybody! Seems like this song feels more and more relevant to me every year.

Back atcha: Song for the Solstice.

Yes. Ian has the band back together and is on the road. My older brother bears an eerie resemblance to Anderson, which is particularly interesting to me as my brother plays the flute and introduced me to Jethro Tull back when they were a new band. I've heard them a few times in concert back in the 70s and 80s.

Hi folks! I'm going to a meditation camp for two weeks. No phone, internet, TV, or anything like that... Just diving deep inside myself. Thus, in the period from December 30 to January 14, I will not be in touch. From January 15-16, I will return to participate in all the games. I wish you all a Happy New Year! See you soon.

I've done Zen meditation, so I know these events can be intense and life altering. We always say it is important to focus on RL. You get two weeks of only RL. I'm okay with delaying the game for things like this.

![]() |

Any estimate about how soon we may complete this? I ask because I have an opportunity to play a character in module 5-08 Star Sugar Superstar, which sounds like it would be perfect for Stell.

![]() |

Does it seem like this will wrap up in time for current PCs to enter into a new campaign by March 4, when the new Outpost games start? I'd like to enter Stell in one of the games if possible.

![]() |

Looks like we have a clue as to where to go next. If we can rest and regain stamina, that would be great, although Stell still has all her hp and still has some stamina.

My work schedule has changed. For the next five weeks, I'll be unable to post generally after 3 PM (same time zone as New York City) on Monday through Thursday. I'll check games in the morning and make what posts I can.
Also, I may be traveling on April 6-9. I should have some access to Wifi and a laptop, but if a post is needed in this period, please
'bot my character. It's possible the trip will not happen, in which case I'll let you know. (I'm hoping to see the total solar eclipse on April 8 in Ohio, USA.)

![]() |

So do I. I'm still watching weather forecasts to see if/where I want to try to go to have the best chance of clear skies. It may be upstate New York instead of Ohio. Will know better toward the weekend.
I attempted to see the total solar eclipse that occurred in Washington state back in 1979. We drove about looking for clear skies a few hours before the time. As it happened we would have been better off staying where we started from. We stopped a few minutes before totality and watched as a lone cloud move in front of the sun just in time to block a clear view of the corona. We did experience the rest of the landscape going dark and saw stars and observed birds circling in confusion.
This will be my last shot at totality, given my advanced age and none in the US for about 20 more years.

I had some time on the weekend with Internet access, but could not post as I had trouble signing on to Paizo and could not get a password reset to work. I'm just now able to post again, but now I'm crunched for time as I get caught up on my work and all my games. I'll post as soon as I can, but I'm okay with 'botting my character if it will help keep things from bogging down.
I did see the total eclipse!

> I did see the total eclipse!
Impressive? I've only seen a partial one, and it's... interesting, but comparable to a big and black cloud. Is a total eclipse probably something mystical in its own way? I mean, we can imagine ourselves as our ancestors 3,000 thousand years ago and how they felt seeing this.

![]() |

I've seen both types of total eclipses now, and they do affect one's state of mind. The sight of the sun or full moon are so basic to our sense of the universe that when they change dramatically in a short time, it makes one feel in an altered state. It's all the more impressive when we consider that it is just an unlikely coincidence that the sizes and distances make for almost identical angular sizes for sun and moon, making eclipses possible yet rare.

Still haven't seen a total solar eclipse. I tried in 2017. My sister lived on the path of totality and we went to visit her. In an otherwise clear, but hazy sky, one stinking little cloud drifted in at about 60% and drifted out at about the same. My only emotion was profound disappointment, consoled only by a visit with family.

I had a similar experience back in 1979. This was perhaps worse since we had driven 18 hours to be in the path of totality and managed to find a spot that was covered by a small cloud for just the few minutes of totality.

You've got First Joro on the ropes. For our next game I plan on running 1-16. It's a repeatable scenario and another Paizo friend, cmlobue has expressed interest so we'd have a guest player. I am sure some of you have played in his games. I certainly have, and want to return the favor.
Also, 1-16 is a 1-4 level scenario. It's not on the campaign arc. It might be an opportunity to rest the higher level PCs in the party and let lower level PCs catch up.
