Hey guys,
I'll firstly apologise if this has already been answered but reading through multiple forums it seems like it's still a more "he say she say" topic (that I could find anyway) with players giving their opinions
So...
Slashing grace & Spellstrike - can it work together and can it be done in the same turn?
Has this been clarified with a DEV?
To note - fully understand Spell Combat won't work with Slashing grace as per the Errata regarding TWF, asking for clarity about Spellstrike only
I am building a bladebound magus just for reference for query

What do you think would prevent it from working? As far as I can tell, unlike Spell Combat, there is absolutely no interaction between Spellstrike and Slashing Grace. They should combine with no issue.
well apart from the conversation around the Slashing Grace Errata with the whole spell combat is mentioned to be out.

i guess just clarification around spellstrike requiring to still cast the spell in the off hand to put it into the sword? (I may be percieving it incorrectly) can i imbue my blade with the spell and spellstrike in same turn i guess im asking.
when i asked my GM about it he said "How are you getting the spell that you're using spellstrike with? (insinuating i'd get it from my off hand)"

Nothing is occupying your hand when you make the strike. When you cast a touch spell, during the turn you cast it, you get a free touch attempt--that touch attempt is not part of casting the spell--you can cast->move->touch. Spellstrike is just replacing the touch attack with a weapon attack. Spellcombat is different because the faq-rata explicitly says it's not allowed--it does not make any claims against spellstrike so that one still stands.

This is a case of your GM not understanding how spellcasting and touch spells work, and actually has nothing to do with Spellstrike or Slashing Grace. Slashing Grace in no way changes how touch spells work, nor does it in any way change how casting spells work, that I'm, aware of, if we exclude Spell Combat.
When casting a spell with a somatic component, you must have at least one hand available to do so. Slashing Grace requires a one handed weapon, and does not work when using two weapons or using the off hand for anything. Technically, if any sort of reaction occurred while you were casting a spell with a somatic component, you would not be able to use Slashing Grace during reaction, but that's it.
The rules for Touch Spells in Combatexplain almost everything else about this case - you can cast the touch spell, and then as a free action, make the attack generated by the spell. If you miss, you Hold the Charge. Note that even a magus can still use a touch spell this way if they want, like if they think a touch attack is more likely to land than a regular attack.
All Spellstrike does is change HOW you make the touch attacks for the touch spells. It does not change how you hold the charge, or how the spell interacts with other spells, or anything else. It simply lets you make a normal melee attack in place of the touch attack, and if you hit, you get to add your normal melee damage onto the spell effect. All other choices for both spell and attack are made as normal, including things like power attack, or Sneak attack, or anything else that might stack onto the effect.
The one other difference generated from Spellstrike is that you can actually touch your weapon without triggering the spell. Without Spellstrike, if you were to cast a touch spell while holding a weapon in one hand, and were then disarmed, if you tried to pick up your weapon, you would discharge the spell. With Spellstrike, you do not discharge the spell when touching your weapon.
