Extra Discovery: "Prerequisites: Discovery class feature."
VMC Alchemist class features: Alchemy, Bombs, Mutagen, Swift Poisoning, Poison Immunity.
I don't need to spell out the answer, do I?

Honestly, I think VMC Alchemist is one of the worst. Bombs aren't worth it, alone. And your 15th/19th feats are wasted on Poison crap, at a time Poison is all but irrelevant.
They give VMC Wizard a Discovery, but not the Alchemist. Seems lazy to me. Could have run it exactly like the Hexes you get with VMC Witch... stating flat out you do not quakify for Extra Hex.
But, to answer your question... no.

I love VMC, in general.
VMC Sorcerer, for a Bloodline is often worth half the feats... especially on literally any parent class that gets bonus feats to make it less painful.
VMC Cleric is pretty awesome on Druids and Rangers... Domains can be fun, and any sort of Spontaneous Casting on Prepared Casters is neat... Channel works awesome on Charisma based classes.
VMC Cavalier is often worth it for an Order and Tactician... givng up your feats for Teamwork feats you share with the party ain't half bad. Throw this on an Arbiter Bard or Dwarven Scholar Bard or Vanguard Slayer or Pack Rager Barbarian or any other archetype that gets a half-@$$ version of Tactician... now that archetype gets real Tactician, and Greater Tactician... and whatever half-@$$ version it got to begin with.

Truthfully I think the VMC is stupid. You lose half your feats for a fraction of the abilities of the second class.
There're multiple VMCs where the abilities are worth the feat cost, and multiple classes that don't need all their feats. That not every possible option is good is part of how Pathfinder works as a game.
