This is a gonzo pitch I’m well aware I’ll likely forever be waiting for, but I can’t help it; they made Distant Worlds too good! So I was curious what potential pitches this community could imagine to justify player characters going beyond Golarion itself.
Maybe the Dominion of the Black threatening multiple worlds? Aberrations are a natural fit for space, I feel.

Dominion of the Black makes sense. And they are also in Iron Gods, which is our other Sword and Planet AP. So, some kind of sequel to Iron Gods would make sense. Something involving Casandalae/Androids or maybe first contact with the Kasatha's. Eziah, the mage who lives on the sun, would be a great character to use as he is more fantasy than sci-fi. There is also the liches of Eox who are, in the Pathfinder time, presumably not full on spacefarers yet.
I like the idea of an existential threat to Golarion. Having it frozen in a ball of ice is cool. Although we already have "The Gap" in Starfinder, and presumably the plan is that is, like Aroden's death and the 2nd and 11th Space Marine legions, a "THIS SPACE INTENTIONALLY LEFT BLANK" in the lore.
I think there is definitely room for another Sword and Planet AP that doesn't tread on the toes of Starfinder, but is more Sci-Fi than Iron Gods. There is a big enough gap there.

I can tell you about the hook for a planet-hopping adventure in my current campaign.
You sure heard of all those mightily powerful abominations, dwelling in alien worlds and black voids between the stars? Well, one group of them decided to stop playing around, because there is a thing on your planet they want to secure - and securing it will mean disposing of the current population. They are bringing serious firepower with them, enough to certainly overun any single planet, even if creatures living on it somehow form a united front. But thankfully you still have some years, while their invasion planetoid is decelerating in normal space, because they want the planet itself intact. Go on an interplanetary adventure too see if these bastards have any rivals and enemies, who can be recruited to help you, out there in the wider galaxy.

The Dominion of the Black theme, while interesting, might still be considered "used up" for a while, because the playtest for PF 2nd edition was Doomsday Dawn, and it was all about the Aucturn Enigma.
For planet-hopping I think a trip to Castrovel, Verces, or the Diaspora are more likely. Navigating the Diaspora via the ring of water would be a cool way to do a second edition aquatic theme, and would be pretty wild.
