AP advice and quest recommendations

Advice

I'm gearing up to run a few major adventures for my players and to try to ease my burden I'm looking into seeing if there are some adventures I can use. I need two fast adventure path (ish) things to take the PC from 1st to 12th, and one big adventure for 20th level characters. All of them should be McGuffin questing, or at least rewriteable to become something like that.

I'm fine with putting in the effort of rewriting the adventure a to fit my game and rebalancing encounters, but I like to have something to work with. I'm fine with any edition or even different systems, I just need some ideas and basic plots to work with. Any recommendations or ideas are welcome.

In fact, if there are any adventures of any kind that broadly, as well as any that are or can be made to be 'protect kingdom from destruction or radical change in leadership', please let me know. The higher level the better.

Thanks.

Most First Edition APs are written to have the party be about 15th level going into its last adventure.

Return of the Runelords could be a good choice, since its last adventure starts at 17th and does get the party up to 20th.

Wrath of the Righteous starts the last adventure at 18th, but also involves mythic (the players should be tier 9 by then, which is an amazing level of power more than matched by the challenges there.) However, it's also the subject of an upcoming video game, which could create potential spoilers.

On the other hand, if you want an AP that ends around 12th, there are some of those:

- Council of Thieves (11th)
- Skull & Shackles (13th)
- Jade Regent (13th)

Second Edition APs are either six-part or three-part. Six-parters tend to have their last adventure be recommended level 18th; three-parters are either 8th or 18th, depending on where they start (and you can take a low level three-parter like Strength of Thousands and chain it together with a high level one like Fist of the Ruby Phoenix.)

I appreciate the response, and will get to reading.
