This is a concept that I've been mulling over for a while now. A character that can command 2 animal companions at once. The idea is that I get Druid 5/ Cavalier 2, grab boon companion to keep one of them at full power and then prestige into acolyte to keep both of them powerful. I'm also considering nature warden for this

Not exactly sure what you mean by "keep both of them powerful." Any way you configure it you're going to be down some levels on at least one animal. Even before the prestige class (Druid 5/Cavalier 2) your effective animal companion levels will be either (Druid 7/Cavalier 2 or Druid 5/Cavalier 6).
Are you asking if the Green Faith Acolyte would add effective levels to both classes? It's a little fuzzy, but probably not since the Green Faith Acolyte calls out druid level and the Cavalier/Druid FAQ draws a distinction between the two when you have two different companions. Green Faith Acolyte would progress your druid levels but that wouldn't in turn progress your cavalier levels. The Nature Warden - on the other hand - would stack because it specifically says
a nature warden's class levels stack with levels in all classes that grant an animal companion for the purpose of determining her animal companion's abilities
Plus the Nature Warden is full animal companion progression.
Because the Nature Warden text uses the singular (companion's instead of companions') my gut instinct is to say the writer didn't consider the possibility of multiple companions and was trying to say "I don't want to say 'druid' because that confuses people when their base class is something else that gets an animal companion." But I don't know that for sure, and it is written in a way that could allow multiple companions.

So with nature warden i can do it, but i would take a nasty hit to my caster level to do it....
