I'm actually more curious about standalones or the ap after this one. Mostly because right now we know almost nothing about plot or big bad(if there is one) of this right now, so there isn't much to go for besides "settling a colony on a resource full empty planet!" aspect yet. I mean yeah I did enjoy playing through kingmaker, but there is difference between "being rulers of kingdom" and "being administrators of a colony" and I assume this new planet will not have intelligent native cultures to interact with to avoid imperialist colonizer story tropes. Plus this will probably end at level 12 as well so I get feeling it won't be as "epic" as kingmaker was(even with nitpicks we had about final books)
So yeah I would need more info about the plot and replayability factor(or rather, in how many different ways this sandbox can branch depending on pc choices) to sell it better, right now coolest thing is that you can choose who was your patron :D

I've even got a character perfectly written for it (okay, so she was created for another Starfinder campaign with a similar premise that didn't take off, but STILL)!
She's a ferran looking to establish an enclave for her people so they don't go extinct if something bad happens to their moon-base homeworld!

Uhmmm... maybe?
To be honest, I played KM back with PF1 (and reviewed it extensively, too). I plan to run it for PF2 later this year/ early next.
But the Starfinder AP that has my interest right now is Fly Free or Die. While HotV may also prove a must play in time - right now, I'm focused on getting FFoD ready to run in Foundry VTT.

I have an idea of a kobold and space goblin colony for this AP...
And not a moment too soon now that kobolds are PLAYABLE!

"Are you looking forward to [not]spaceKingmaker(tm)?" Overall, yes.
It will be interesting to see how the adventures handle sandbox elements after the Galaxy Exploration Manual. If nothing else, I might be able to use some of the concepts or even adapt sections to a High Science Fantasy / Space Western mash-up campaign I'm thinking about (solarian "gunslingers" with solar flare, "magitech" armor and weapons, maybe a dash of "sword and planet" style space pirates).
