Do you qualify for bardic performance feats if you have any bardic performance ability?

Advice

Silver Crusade

Like for example the maestro sorcerer can use the fascinate bardic performance ability. Does that mean that the maestro sorcerer qualifies for bardic performance feats?

The Exchange

Depends on the individual feat. And on the archetype that is giving you a bardic performance. To use the maestro sorcerer as an example:

Lingering performance, probably yes. (The maestro Fascinate is a "bardic performance" even though it doesn't specifically say "you get the bardic performance class feature")

Extra performance, no. (Well, you would qualify as noted above, but it wouldn't actually do anything for the maestro since the uses per day have a different metric.)

Bardic Masterpieces, definitely not for the maestro. "Only bards may learn masterpieces."

Just for completion (I agree with everything else Belafon stated), Skalds may also learn Masterpieces.
