Getting the Shoony discounted boon

I hope this is the correct place to ask this. I GMed the first 2 books of Extinction Curse and have reported doing so, but when I choose the discounted Shoony Ancestry boon, I get a message that states "That character does not meet the requirements for that boon." Anyone know how to get this to work?

For reference, I've tried changing the character that got credit for the AP to the character number I want to use the boon on and that still doesn't work.

GM purchase of AcP boons is a known bug with the system right now.

You might be able to report yourself as a player at the table, then download the boon, then remove yourself as a player

While this would likely work, it would be "gaming" the system and I would not recommend this approach.

As much as it stinks to have to wait for them to get the GM part fixed you should.

I would suggest attaching a copy of the chronicle to show you did GM it until the a boon can be purchased.

If any of your players have purchased the boon, I'd ask them for a copy of the full text, and annotate it with the note about the broken GM credit purchases. Most GMs who would ask about the ancestry, should know about the bug.

I enjoy how long it took just to get the AcP to work in any capacity, it could quite some time before the GM glitch is fixed. I don’t see it as gaming the system. You aren’t getting anything you aren’t entitled to and AFAIK it doesn’t create any database errors as long as you revert the reporting back after the work around. I don’t like it either. It’s damn inconvenient, but sometimes we have to figure out workarounds until Paizo can fix their system.
