Two versions of a resource, such as snowball, are they coexist or replace?

Rules Questions

The Concordance

There are two versions of Snowball, former in PotN, latter in UW, the latter version will replace the former one, or they are both legal in the PFS ?
Appreciate if the FAQ or Designteam Answer is given.

Similar situation:
Suppress Charms and Compulsions from Andoran, Spirit of Liberty(2010) and Adventure's Guide(2017).
Skinwalker from Blood of the Moon and Inner Sea Races.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

They already did here in 2017... the newer replaces the older.
There might be in a more specific blog post on Snowball and Flurry of Snowballs. Sometimes they are more explicit than others.

It's not likely that you'll ever get an 'official' answer now that the edition is over. Best of Luck.

Here

PFS will call out which one is legal and not. Archives of Nethys(The official PRD for PF1E) has a watermark for what is legal and what is not as well.

The Concordance

Thank you, Azothath.

The Design Team said Replacement, while in PFS, it depends on the Additional Resources and Campaign Clarifications.

In Campaign Clarifications,
Snowball,is refined by the non-staggered version.

But for Suppress charms and compulsions,it's confussing. There is no supplement in 20190404-Campaign Clarifications, and in Additional Resources, the Andoran, Spirit of Liberty version (pg.14) and Adventure's Guide(pg.34) are both legal.
They just forget the conflict in this spell?

Just use the AoN version

Thank you.

And Yes, I usually observe the AoN rule in game, however I still want to know the offical answer.XD

The official answer is that Nethys is the official site for the game rules. So use them for which ever spell is indicated.
