Hi.
I didn't realize I had purchased the Humble Bundle Second edition bundle. So I went to redeem my hardcover core rulebook and was notified that it is backordered. I had expected an email indicating how long but I haven't received it yet.
So, my inquiry.
For Order 36253642, how long do you expect it to take? I noticed on Amazon that I can order the core rulebook second edition for $60 and it would be here in 5-7 days.
If you can't fulfill the order, would you consider giving me an Amazon gift card for $60 and I'll purchase through them and pay the shipping?

We expect the book to begin shipping in November. Since this was a redemption from a Humble Bundle contribution, any refunds must be requested via Humble Bundle support. Let me know if you have any other questions!

We don't have a set date for shipments to begin again but we'll be sending out an email to folks who are waiting on books once they start shipping out again!

Amazon has their own inventory in their own ware house and have they their own stock. The ones you are getting from Amazon would be from the first printing stock that they control in their warehouses. They have inventory, and then ship it.
Paizo does not have any inventory on hand. They have placed a second printing and are waiting for it to arrive at their warehouses and then they will be able to ship it out.
You can receive it from Amazon because Amazon has the intentory on hand. Paizo's ware house does not, so that is why we are waiting. Once they receive their next shipment of books they will be able to ship from their inventory for people who ordered directly from their site, and the humble bundle peeps who are waiting for them to get their restock.

Yoshua has the right idea here. With the extremely popular release of the Humble Bundle, our stock on hand was depleted quickly. Amazon has their own supply of our books, separate from our inventory, so even though we currently have no Core Rulebooks to ship out they are still able to ship out books. It takes a few months after ordering a new printing of a book for the shipment to arrive, which is why we aren't able to send books out until November. I apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment this has caused.

Ok this makes complete sense. Also I just saw a post about the new printing including the errata so I get it now. I just didn't understand that Paizo would sell out of CRB since Amazon had it. Now I will patiently wait. :) I do have the PDF and on a big ipad pro it's almost like reading the crb.
