Martial Exorcist Build

Advice

Hello,

I wanted to reach out for ideas to build an exorcist, or priest that is anti-evil supernatural beings. The flavor I was going for would be similar to the priest from Helsing - who has what appears to be holy powers with significant martial capabilities to fight. It's for a future campaign a friend of mine is running and he will certainly be having fiends and evil-denizens showing up. The problem for me is that Cleric tends to be more centered around anti-undead.

I've been beating myself over the head of doing Champion/Cleric, Cleric/Champion, Fighter/Cleric, Champion/Other but it seems like there is very little that I can take advantage of as anti-evil as I'd like. Cleric would be the ideal simply for Holy Castigation for flavor but that comes a bit later. Nothing seems to quite "click".

I am also ok with this character being so specialized that he may be sub-par against anything else. If he is a skill or knowledge guy in addition to just being really good at beating fiends or the like, I am ok with that.

That is basically pure champion, mainly Paladin.

Take a Oath, either fiendsbane or vengeful.

Then at lvl 4 take Sun Blade or the other oath.

Then have even more stuff as you level like Smite Evil, Sense Evil or Littany Against Wrath, Blade of Justice, Aura of Faith and so on, the class have a lot of stuff against fiends and evil enemies.

Weirdly enough, monk might be the best choice for this. After certain levels your strikes automatically count as special metals, meaning they're particularly effective against supernatural beings. Also, ki strike can deal positive damage and most of your ki spells can deal good damage if you have the Sacred Ki feat and worship a good deity.

Duskwalker heritage, champion blade ally, and barbarian spirit instinct are all ways to get free ghost touch.

Assimar heritage can get good damage on all attacks at 13. Otherwise champion is a source of good damage.

Thematically I think the Battle Prayer skill feat is a nice fit. Same with Root Magic and Pilgrim's Token. TBH most of the Religion skill feats would work.

A human cleric could take Holy Castigation at first level.

I think that might be the only thing that fits with what he wants. Monks can go for more offense based while building to fight 'evil'.

Champions have more direct options, but it is a class more squarely focused on tanking (good causes are about defending others, while evil ones still have to use reactive abilities dependent on being hit), and that is not the kind of style that is being asked for.

He appears to be asking for a full offense specialist aimed at demons, undead, etc. More of a "demon hunter" rather than "paladin".

My first instinct when reading this was "he basically wants a pf1e ranger with favored enemy (evil outsiders, undead, etc) with a bit of cleric mixed in". But favored enemy doesn't actually have those options anymore (it only has more of beast shaped things and plants now; also, it is just a free initiative hunt prey now, rather than bonuses).

And most other offense heavy classes don't really have evil/demon focused abilities right now either. So monk might be the classes thing right now. Maybe they will reintroduce inquisitor and it will better serve the desired role.

Where's the Belmont family class options? I remember some in PF1 that were really cool, I think for Ranger or Slayer.
