Siege Engine Size Question

Rules Questions

So, I recalled that there were smaller sized siege engines, and when I looked on the PRDs, it looks like there are rules for both small and medium size engines, but I can't find any examples of siege engines that size.

Anyone know of any?

Was this an idea that was abandoned in development, or am I just missing something?

Thanks!

I haven't looked up the rules etc. But off the top of my head maybe scaled down versions of normal siege weapons used by fine and dimunitive races would fall into this catgegory.

Interesting. Why would they take less time to setup, then? Hm. I guess the rules don’t particularly care about stuff like that. Hm.

Because the environment around you doesn't change with your size...

The bolt to a small ballista can be maneuvered around the environment easier and faster than the bolt to a medium sized ballista. Even if they are comparably the same in scale to those using them... the larger bolt will hit trees and rocks and bushes that the smaller bolt does not.

I don't know if any of that is why, though... I was mostly talking out my @$$. Lol.

Seems as good a reason as any. I suspect the real answer is the table was scaled up and down without too much thought. There are several areas where size isn't considered, narrow surfaces being one I can recall immediately. This might just be another.
