After you assisted the Deep Culture Institute (DCI) in retrieving their lost data, they offered you employment. This position works in tandem with your position in the Starfinder Society, and the DCI understand that you have other commitments. When you slot this boon, you gain a +2 bonus on all Culture, Diplomacy, Engineering, Life Science, Medicine, Mysticism, Physical Science and Sense Motive checks related to operating in or around a star or related to creature living within stars.
In addition, when you slot this boon, at the end of an adventure, you can choose to use Culture, Life Science or Physical Science in place of Profession to make your Day Job check, representing your efforts working with the DCI on a research front.
The money you're earning in between Adventures is essentially represented by choosing one of the listed skills and rolling it as your Day Job.
I am unfamiliar with this "Moon" Boon, but maybe someone else can elaborate on that for you.

The Moon Boon was a charity auction boon. I think it sold for 800 dollars at GenCon. It allowed you to get a moon of your own and build businesses and other things off it. But you do not need your own Moon. Nor do you need the Boon for Soldiers of Brass. You just need a day job and some panache.
Charli Poshkettle runs Poshkettle Tea, which started out as a rickety tea stand in front of the Lore Spire Complex. In a number of the adventures she's been in Organized Play, she's offered NPCs a job or a chance that they too can join the Poshkettle Tea franchise. Any time an NPC is sad and jobless, Charli has made this offer.
Because of a different boon that she received from an adventure, Charli became a minor celebrity in the Pact Worlds, which I've portrayed as her business growing with advertising jingles and what not. Almost all of her money from the business is plowed back into the business, so all she's getting for spending money is the small amount from her day job rolls -- but she's a well known Pact Worlds entrepreneur.
Hmm

It's not an oversight, though.
Owning a business just doesn't have game effects currently, nor does it need to. All the game mechanics of "business proprietor" can be summed up in a day job roll and some combination of skills and theme. Starfinder is about rollicking space adventure; it isn't meant to be a business simulator. Someone should make a Pact Worlds Tycoon game.
Also, while I appreciate the link, as this is the Society forum, we can't exactly amend and use it for the purposes of Society play. Perhaps better linked in the Homebrew or General forums.
