Keep arguing till you're blue in the face man, it doesn't change the facts that there is something fundamentally wrong with the way the rules are presented here and it needs to be addressed, people are reading the rules and coming up with drastically different interpetations of what is supposed to be true.
The cases have already been made on both sides and all we can do is wait for a ruling/errata and run it how we see it in our own games.

Yes they are, and “they” is you.
You have no evidence, no factual support, your idea doesn’t even make sense, there are literally hundreds of counter examples which shows your stance don’t hold any water. Your argument is literally made-up and doesn’t hold consistently with, again, hundreds of contradictory examples.
There are no real lines here. This is something you’ve wholly conjured out of thin air.

Honestly, I doubt there would be an errata on this since I can't even imagine how it could be any clearer. The specific items are listed under headings that say "Specific Magic Weapons" or "Specific Magic Armor", which have a preamble saying "These weapons have abilities..." blah blah, describing the items listed immediately below in that section. If they're not in those lists, those preambles don't apply. Those are not definitions of what a specific item is, to be applied everywhere.

...the facts...
It's not a fact, it's your opinion.
Not all cases of people all reading the same thing and coming to different conclusions about the meaning are the fault of the way the text is written - some of them are because some of the readers are artificially inserting words or using meanings for words that the writer couldn't have accounted for them using if they had thought to try.
That's why we don't just say what we think the text says, we point at which parts make us think it and explain why - because through that process we can determine accurately whether it is "this is worded imprecisely" or "this reader is imagining a different thing is written here than what is" that has lead to the result of some people having a different understanding than others.

Yeah, some people are reading the rules and adding their own unsubstantiated context, thus making it ambiguous to them. The rest of us read this...
Staves are also staff weapons (page 280), included in their Price. They can be etched with runes as normal for a staff. This doesn’t alter any of their spellcasting abilities.
...and are not confused at all.
I am not trying to convince either of you. I aim to ensure that those who ask the question and search through here are not mislead by foundationless arguments. I truly encourage you to play however suits you. For that is the best way to play.
