So I do like Incapacitation a lot with one small downside, they are basically untenable for spontaneous casrers as is unless you dedicate one of your precious signature spells to them. Because otherwise your level will quickly outgrow its usefulness and then it's just a dud in your repotaur. Would making all Incapacitation spells signature by default be overpowering or would it be better to just give free retrains on level up once such spells have become dead weight?

I'd suggest free retrains. Making them automatically signature is going to result in spontaneous casters taking almost nothing but Incap spells in many cases.

Verdant Wheel

Maybe a Homebrew Feat?

Spontaneous Incapacitator (Feat 4)
(Bard) (Oracle) (Sorcerer)
Prerequisite: Signature Spells
Choose a spell in your repertoire with the incapacitation trait. That spell becomes an additional signature spell. Whenever you gain a spell slot of a new level from your class progression or a feat, if the spell you add to your repertoire has the incapacitation trait, you may automatically retrain this feat to work with that spell instead.
Special: You may take this feat multiple times, each time choosing a different spell.

Similar to Signature Spell Expansion, yeah. Might bump it up to 6th or 8th level, since SSE is 10th, though.

That feat works, along with the free retrains, jm just trying to make sure that my bard stops seeing incap as a "do not take" label after his level 1 charm sleep and color spray left his first level slots kinda cramped
