Hymn of healing - intentionally nerfed on self or just an oversight?

Rules Discussion

Hi everybody.

Given how fast healing works, seems that the spell skip one healing cycle if the caster cast it on himself.

Out of 4 rounds it would result in 25% less healings ( the bonus hp remains the same).

Is it something that has already been discussed or eventually addressed?

Or maybe I got wrong how to calculate the healing in the first place?

Thanks for the help.

Let's see you can cast it and then Sustain it for 4 rounds. (Assuming Bard going before ally, otherwise they recovers just like the Bard do).

1st round
Ally recovers

2nd round
Ally recovers
Bard Recovers

3rd round
Ally recovers
Bard Recovers

4th round
Ally recovers
Bard recovers

5th round
Bard recovers

Remember that Sustain a spell makes it lasts until the end of your next turn, so that let the Bard get their last healing at the start of theirs.

Oh fantastic.

I was sure I forgot about something essential.

Thank you very much for the excellent explanation \o
