Beast shape with a familiar satchel on?

I understand that all gear goes into your new body when using wild shape or a beast shape spell, but what would happen to a familiar if you are carrying it around in the familiar satchel. Or had a cage with a animal in it strapped to your backpack. Would the cage merge into your body and the animal wouldn’t and therefore be set free, or would the animal merge into you as well?

I'm not sure it's clear, but certainly I'd rule the familiar satchel merges with you (with the familiar inside).

The whole point of buying the familiar satchel is to keep it safe during combat, if shape shifting is going to remove that safety might as well not bother.
