Gencon Special?

Well it seems I am a little late to the party....there are only 3 tables left, 2 in Portuguese and 1 in Russian. Is there any chance there will be tables added or am I just out of luck this year?

I might even consider running a table if need be :)

No. We will not be adding additional tables for any scenarios, including specials. All GM volunteers have been assigned at this time and organizer event registration is closed.

We have 80 tables registered for PFS2 2-00. This is comparable to the number of tables that would have run at GenCon if the event took place in Indianapolis.

We opted to schedule fewer higher level tables as historically systems within their first year have had a more difficult time filling those tables. As such we erred on the side of caution and allocated more resources towards level ranges that would have a larger percentage of our player base eligible to sign up for them without utilizing pre-generated characters.

The specials are expected to run in the near future at several other online events, so players will have other opportunities to play.

If interested in running you can offer yourself as a waitlist GM. It is inevitable that some people may not turn up for a whole range of different reasons. From general chat on the OPF discord:

The leads are accepting waitlist GMs for any and all slots; email [e-mail] and let them know when you're available and what you're able to run!

It is also worth keeping an eye on the Gencon event listing as people do sometimes drop out of games and return their tickets.

While I am sorry you missed out on a seat at the table this time, the Online Region of Organized Play will have this special available in the relatively near future.
