Which deity ties me most to the plot?

Strange Aeons

This is a weird AP for it, but I’d love to build a character of faith whose deity actually MATTERS to the story in some way.

I thought Lamashtu, but my understanding is that evil characters might find themselves dissatisfied with some reveal later on in the AP.

Without too many spoilers, if y’all were running and had a cleric in your party, which deity selection would make your job easiest and most fulfilling, given the story you have at hand?

I'm currently running this (almost to book 6).

Desna.

Without too many spoilers, a goddess of luck, travelers, dreams, and the stars who is good and protective is pretty much the exact opposite of everything the Lovecraftian Pathfinder deities stand for. Your character will travel through some very dark places and need all the luck and good dreams they can get.

Or...

Groetus.

Because when you're dealing with cosmic horror, the end of the all existence is a reasonable goal. And fatalism a decent character approach.

If I were playing and being a cleric, those are the two I'd go with.

Also, she's basically a Lovecraftian being herself, albeit atypical morally.

Perfect. Thanks.

Bit of a necro, but the group I'm running's one divine character is an inquisitor of Andoletta, empyreal lord known for her association with shepherds and the guiding of communities. I find it to be a perfect contrast with Hastur, who is a bit of a shepherd himself, but in the exact opposite way.

Other ideas

Gorrum because
"Efff you you eldritch horror. I CHOOSE VIOLENCE AND IN HIS NAME I WIN! "

Nocticula because
"kindly ftaghn off you carcosan basement dweller, I like decadence, and decadence requires a degree of sanity, I also havent assassinated a great old one in a while. I mean, Hastur, twice, but he is almost too easy to kill if you are me. Just have some mimes or whatever perform the King in Yellow in front of a mostly Balor audience."
