Monster defensive reactions that damage attackers

Rules Discussion

There was a post on this I believe around about when B2 was being released but I can’t remember which sub forum and what it was titled

What monsters have some kind of reaction or ability to simulate that attacking them can hurt the individual making the attack. To simulate (or represent) a spiky body?

The barbed devil. The Peluda. And I think there are a few with acidic or hear based damage effects, but I don't remember which ones off the top of my head.

I was looking at those closely when I converted the bandersnatch.

White dragons can do it too. Not spiky, but its a damage reaction.

Not all of them are Reactions. A Black Pudding passively Damages Weapons that Hit it.

The Salamander can spend an Action to passively Damage anything that touches or Hits it until its next Turn.

A Goblin Dog passively infects anything that touches it with Goblin Pox.

Babau - Modest acid-splash, unless you Crit Fail then weapon broken!

I think there are several others too. It seems most such abilities have been converted to Reactions so they can do legitimate effects without being overpowering vs. certain party builds. If you have a target level in mind, it shouldn't be too hard to find monsters in that range with such an ability.

I also think Paizo likes giving monsters an off-turn ability like a Reaction, Aura, Split, or similar (yet uncommon to see two such abilities). The damaging Reaction seems pretty popular, including a couple new ones that let the monster attack when attacked (though I'm forgetting which monsters I saw those on).

I am trying to make a spiky sea urchin . I think the white dragon thing but piercing damage is probably closest
