What do the additional druid specializations add to animal companion?

Rules Discussion

I took animal companion as a druid. The specialized companion feat says you can choose that feat up to 3 times getting a different specialization each time. Then it says see the rules for what that additional specialization does. Yet I can't find any rules on what additional specialized companion feats do. Anyone know what choose specialized companion more than once does for the druid?

Liberty's Edge

Additional Specialization choices would not raise their stats or Training levels nor add more additional damage dice as described in the Spec AC paragraph since it notes that these benefits from apply only on the first instance but it WOULD allow you to take another Specialization from the list of Abusher, Bully, Daredevil, Racer, Tracker, or Wrecker

Each specialization offers specific buffs that are appropriate to the type you choose such as Ambushers get +2 C Bonus to Init using Stealth, Expert in Stealth, and a Dex Mod increase.

So that said, what it means is you can take the feat a second time to have, for example, a Mature Nimble Bully Racer Cat Animal Companion and a third time to make it a Mature Nimble Bully Racer Wrecker Cat Animal Companion.

Are those in the core rulebook?

Yep.

Getting a second specialization adds some small benefit when combining the Ambusher and Daredevil specializations on top of a nimble Companion. It doesn't raise the prof rank for unarmored to Legendary (that would have been very nice) but the extra dex does give more att (+33) and AC (45). Better values then the druid has, with max investment in potency runes and a raised shield.
