When completing a chronicle for someone who played a pregen, what are the options in PFS 2? Is it still just wait to reach the appropriate level, or apply it to level one?
Given the new system for calculating rewards, I was wondering if the option existed to apply it to any lower level PFS character, using the Earn Income value for that character's level.

Choose a Character to Receive Credit
Before the game, you must choose which of your characters to assign the credit for playing this adventure to. (If you haven’t created
your own character yet, you’ll assign it to the first character that you create.) Credit from a 1st-level pregenerated character can be
assigned only to a 1st-level character. Credit for playing a higher-level pregenerated character must be assigned to a Pathfinder
Society character of a lower level than the pregenerated character.
A later section implies that you can only apply to a level 1 but I don't think that's the case.
Downtime: Pregenerated characters can use Downtime
I think the level of earn income tasks for pregens has changed at least once since we started and I don't remember the current answer.

My understanding is that, in general, for pregens, its either hold until the level of the pregen, or reduce to level 1 rewards. The pre-gen only scenario 1-00, had a special exception made to apply to any character between 1 and 4. (I think due to acknowledging that people could have spent playtest points to start at 2 or 3).
In terms of downtime/earned income this is why they have the concept of 'applying' versus 'assigning' the chronicle. You 'assign' the chronicle to the character when you fill out the sign-in sheet. You 'apply' it when the character has reached the appropriate level( or when you've made the character (GM blob/level 1 pregen/etc)).
You will use the actual character receiving the chronicle for the modifiers for the downtime checks. Outside of GM blobs, you should get a GM to oversee/initial the earned income roll on a sheet being applied after the fact.

1-00 can be applied to any level character 1 to 5, not 1 to 4. And when determining Earned Income for that adventure, you use the pregen's values vs a task level of 3 to determine success. Then the correct amount is gold is earned based on the level of the character that is receiving the credit.
For normal pregens, the way Eric explained it is correct.

Looking at it, it implies that the chronicle is assigned a character that is lower level but not applied (filling out Reputation, Fame and Gold) to the character until the character reaches the level of the pregen.

Sorry, yes my bad on listing 1-4 instead of 1-5 for the levels that 1-00 can be applied to.
Where had have you seen the use the 1-00 pregens for downtime rolls? That was one of many interpretation making the rounds, but I never saw it endorsed as the official/only one (rather than the wait until applied and use the actual character's roll) Its nicer since you can fully resolve it at the table, often with new players which is nice.

I could have sworn he told me, when I asked, that the player, could use the values off the character they were applying it too. (could, not must)
