I would probably change the shell but to be honest I woulnd't know where to start (at least from the top if my head)
As for weapons - consider naturally slower weapons (heavy bludgeoning, 2 handed stuff) and 'aquatic' weapons (trident, net to catch fish and other stuff) and javelins (harpoons)
