I would like to run a prewritten adventure for my friends during the lockdown but at a glance it looks like The Fall of Plaguestone will hit a bit close to home. From what I can see that is the only offical standalone adventure that has been published. Does anyone have any recommendations for an adventure I could run. I am looking for one that starts with characters at 1st level.

in 2e?
Well hmm, if you don't want to run either part one of Age of Ashes or Extinction Curse and edit adventure to turn it into standalone nor want to wait for more to be realized, you could look for Pathfinder Society Scenarios for 2e.(though they might be bit confusing to read if you aren't familiar with PFS due to the whole mechanic for scaling adventure for higher level and bigger parties)

Yeah, 2e so far has both Age of Ashes and Extinction Curse as APs. They're longer campaigns than something like Fall of Plaguestone, so if your party is looking for something relatively short and confined they might be a tall order. Although,
Pathfinder Society Scenarios are also great if you adapt them to a home game and adjust them for your table.
Some of the earlier 1e adventure paths could also work out easily if you're willing to do a bit of adjusting. I think Rise of the Runelords, Curse of the Crimson Throne, Second Darkness, Legacy of Fire, and Council of Thieves, maybe Kingmaker, should all be relatively straightforward to adapt because they were around before all of the big Pathfinder rulebooks and Bestiaries were published. This'd be more work but opens up some options.
Although, if Fall of Plaguestone is hitting too close to home you probably want to avoid Curse of the Crimson Throne.
