Elementalist Shifter, Slam attack..?

Rules Questions

So, I'm confused.. I was reading the Elementalist Shifter archetype, And it looks realy intresting. But I noticed one problem.. Each of the Major Elemental Forms eventualy gain Improved Natural Attack with their Slam attack... Yet I cant find anywhere that says they gain a slam attack..? Or any kind fo attack while in elemental form.. Do you use the slam attack of a medium elemental, Or is this just a major oversight and they forgot to give the Elementalist the slam attack..?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Polymorph rules: "In addition to these benefits, you gain any of the natural attacks of the base creature, including proficiency in those attacks." CRB pg. 212

Some polymorph effects (e.g. the Undead Anatomy line or the Form of the Dragon line,) supposedly* replace the above with a given list of natural attacks. Since Paizo was all like "why should we do the job we get paid for?" in regards to Ultimate Wilderness, Shifter was all over the place regarding whether or not the general rules or a specific list is used, this FAQ later added lists to all aspects, but they didn't bother with the various archetypes.

*) That's the intend, nothing actually disables the polymorph rule part quoted above. Of course, everyone plays it like that, as everything else would be utterly ridiculous.

Thank you! Sorry for the dumb question, Thank you for the awnser! =D
