This is really, I suppose, a question about just what effect the Gloves of the Shortened Path have.
So, first I have a Symbol of Scrying set up at a particular location. I am 500 miles away. Someone activates the symbol, and I get a scrying sensor centered on them. (I am an Oracle, so forgive the lack of regular Scrying. I get all symbol spells at 11th level through the Spontaneous Symbology revelation of the Oracle of Lore .)
Next, I use Gloves of the Shortened Path to transport my hands to the intruders square. These gloves require line-of-sight to a particular location, whereby the first question comes up:
-Does Scrying provide line of sight? To me it seems that it does, in which case:
-I could use the Gloves to get my hands into any place I could scry (terrible implications there, but lets ignore that).
Assuming the previous step works, can I now cast spells in that location? Easy answer is no, since with me 500 miles away I have no line of effect. Unless - another question here - having my hands there could give that to me?
But what about spells requiring no line of effect - particularly Possession , which requires no line of sight or line of effect? It does however have a range limitation, and the final question then becomes:
-Does having my hands in their square via the Gloves equate to me being within range? I've literally stuck my hands through a wormhole to their location. The Gloves description says "allowing creatures and effects to target her as if she were in that square", so it it unreasonable to assume that I count as being in that square (in addition to my original square) for location-based calculations?

The gloves have some pretty serious limitations.
For the next 10 rounds, she can touch anything in that square as if it were her own square, as long as she has line of effect to the target square.
Touch, not cast spells on. Line of effect required, not just line of sight. From that line we know that the gloves themselves don't provide line of effect, and scrying certainly doesn't.
allowing creatures and effects to target her as if she were in that square
Not vice versa - there is a clear and limited list of things that the gloves allow you to do, as opposed to things that can be done to you which is pretty open. If you could get the person you want to possess to use these gloves to reach out to a square within range you could then possess them, but not the other way round.

I was about to say that it would work, but gloves shut this down:
" For the next 10 rounds, she can touch anything in that square as if it were her own square, as long as she has line of effect to the target square."
Emphasis on Line of effect to the target square.
But maybe a familiar/pet with those teleport rings that link up, pop your head in and cast possession?
