Voluntary flaw rules

Rules Discussion

I'm trying to understand these rules, is it possible as a Human Monk to start with these stats using the optional voluntary flaw rules?

Str 18
Dex 16
Con 14
Wis 12
Int 8
Cha 8

Seems legit.

Yep.

Ancestry + Flaw: Str +2, Dex +2, Con +2, Int -2, Cha -2
Background: Str +2, Dex +2
Class: Str +2
Free Boosts: Str +2, Dex +2, Con +2, Wis +2

So yeah, that works. Of course, I'm skeptical that the extra +2 Con is really worth it, but it's certainly rules legal.

Oh interesting, what would you recommend instead?

I would recommend keeping int and cha as 10 as it lets you get another skill+language at level 5, 10, 15, 20 if you want.

The +1 to fort is alright but the +1hp is a less impactful choice in PF2e thanks to how high the base numbers are (a +1 accounting for a smaller percentage of your total HP). Not a bad choice to do btw, but not an objectively right one either :)

Good point, though we do have a rogue in the party to cover the skills fairly well. Would Wis be better than Con to raise in your opinion? Or neither one?

Verdant Wheel

WIS if you want to unlock Ki powers.

CON if you want more Style feats.

Oh ok, ya the idea wasn't too have many Ki Powers, and certainly none that require a saving throw from the enemy.
